Keep Her Home is a small reference desk for one moment: a parent has asked to stay in her own house to the end, and the person she asked is trying to learn what that takes in the St. Louis area.

Why it exists
People type the promise into a search box in their own words, often late at night: promise me no nursing home, mom wants to die at home how, can a house actually hold a dying parent. The results tend to be a company pamphlet or a page written for people who already work in care. This desk writes to the daughter or son who made the promise, in the order she has to think about it: what her mother is asking for, what this house can hold, what Missouri lets her write down, who covers which hours, and what to say when a discharge planner names a facility.
The front page walks the house room by room: the front steps, the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom and the stairs. It is deliberately not a ranking of nursing homes, hospices or agencies. Each room names what tends to get hard, what help looks like, and when the question belongs to her care team instead of to you.
Who publishes it
The site is published by OwnersFirm, a St. Louis company that builds and runs reference sites. The articles are written and edited by the Keep Her Home desk. No clinician works on this desk. The full method, including what the site will not do and how corrections work, is on how we write.
Who supports this site
It belongs to New Plan Care Solutions, a non-medical in-home care company in Chesterfield, Missouri, independently owned and operated by Stacie Postol, serving St. Louis and St. Charles counties and the surrounding communities. The two companies are not commonly owned. Nothing in the articles was ranked to put it there.
