Who publishes it
Keep Her Home is published by OwnersFirm, a St. Louis company that builds and runs reference sites. The articles carry a desk byline, not a person's name, because no clinician works on this desk and nothing here should be read as a doctor's opinion. The desk writes for one reader: the daughter, or sometimes the son, who promised a parent she could stay in her own house.
How a page gets made
Every page starts from a sentence a real person types into a search box, such as "she wants to die in her own bed" or "SSM discharge planner nursing home she said no." The desk then reads the public pages that actually govern that moment: Medicare.gov, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the National Institute on Aging, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Missouri Department of Social Services, the Missouri Revisor of Statutes, the Missouri Bar, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and local agencies such as Aging Ahead and the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging.
Each fact on a page links to the public page it came from. The desk opens each link, confirms the sentence is there, and records the date on the sources page. When a source carries no year, we do not add one. Where the public record is silent, the page is silent too.
Every article follows the same spine: what to do tonight, what the house or the papers need, and a section that sends clinical questions to her care team or her doctor. Local phone numbers appear only when we saw them on the program's own page, and the local help directory says which page and on which date.
The paid placement
One slot on this site is paid. It belongs to New Plan Care Solutions, a non-medical in-home care company in Chesterfield, Missouri, independently owned and operated by Stacie Postol. New Plan Care Solutions is a client of OwnersFirm and pays for the placement. The two companies are not commonly owned.
That placement appears in three forms: the labeled section and form on the front page, a short labeled box at the end of each article, and its phone number in the site header. Each one says it is paid. It is not a ranking, and no article was scored or ordered to favor it. A note sent through the front-page form goes to New Plan Care Solutions and nowhere else. A phone number is optional on that form, and the company contacts people only the way they ask.
What this site will not do
- Diagnose, interpret a symptom, suggest a medicine or a dose, or predict how long anyone has. Those questions belong to her physician and her care team.
- Enroll anyone in hospice, home health, MO HealthNet or a VA program, or tell you she qualifies. We link each program's own page.
- Publish a price, an hourly rate or a cost estimate that we cannot source to a public page. Where Medicare publishes its own cost-sharing rule, we quote that rule and nothing more.
- Rank, score or criticize any nursing home, hospital, hospice or agency. A parent's wish to stay home is a wish, not a verdict on anyone else's care.
- Ask for health details on a form.

Corrections
If a program changes its rules, a link breaks, or we got something wrong, we correct the page itself, update its modified date, and re-check the source before it is marked checked again. We do not quietly leave an old number in place. To report an error, reach the publisher through ownersfirm.com and name the page and the sentence. Corrections to facts about New Plan Care Solutions are checked against the company's own site, newplancare.com.
